7. Social media and blogs

In this chapter: 

  • Retain any nonstandard spelling and capitalisation in the post and include hashtags and emojis.
  • Make a note of any audiovisual material included in the post (e.g. photographs, videos) in square brackets after the title.
  • Avoid referencing a re-posted item. Wherever possible, click on the post and reference the original post.

1. BLOG POST
  • If you are unable to locate the author’s name, use their handle/account name.

2. BLOG POST COMMENT
  • The author is the person who left the blog post comment.  If you are unable to locate the author’s name, use their handle/account name.
  • Where possible, provide the URL that will lead the reader directly to the blog post comment.
